Why, when and by whom CINOPS was founded?CINOPS was founded in 1985 by Dr. Elias N. Mattar, Ph.D., Social Sciences. When CINOPS was first established, it was primarily in place for student orientation and vocational guidance.The first of its kind at that time in Lebanon, CINOPS was unanimously hailed by many newspapers, magazines, radio and television journalists as an organization of tremendous courage, creativity and unshakable faith in war torn Lebanon*.Where does the name "CINOPS" come from?CINOPS' name stands for the French "Centre d'INformation et d'Orientation Scolaires et Professionnelles". This name was coined after the word "synopsis" and the adjective "synoptic", which implies the idea of comparative and synthetic approach to different texts.A new era: CINOPS Human Resources ServicesIn 1993, 2 years after the end of the war in Lebanon, many businesses tasked Dr. Mattar in helping them recruit fresh talent to their companies, knowing that as orientation counselor and university professor, he was in permanent contact with university students and graduates.Today, CINOPS Human Resources Services is proud to include hundreds of employers and thousands of applicants in its database, most of whom remained loyal friends.
