Over a Cup of Tea is a Counselling and Psychological Wellness Centre in Kolkata. It is founded by Charvi Jain, a post-graduate from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. Our USP lies in our distinct approach towards therapy. Our team is a bunch of young but qualified individuals from the best institutes of the country, wishing to combine our psychological training with our instinct for compassion and empathy in providing personalised care for the clients. We prefer to call them clients and not patients, we look at their problems and issues as their narratives and not symptoms because we believe there so much more to a person than the diagnosis and its symptoms. We believe in empowering the individuals with healthy coping mechanisms, resilience, tools and techniques instead of having them depend upon pills.Our therapy set-up has a warm and cozy ambience, with a tea/coffee bar in the corridor so the clients can feel comfortable and free. Be it mild mood swings, or severe distress, Over a Cup of Tea takes you through a journey of self discovery, insight and peace. Our sessions facilitate in resolving problems, in making a decision and in promoting personal growth. Besides therapy, Over a Cup of Tea also works proactively with adults, adolescents, children and parents to promote positive psychology in order to build better relationship & communication skills, leading to stronger families and stronger communities through workshops, seminars and support groups.
