Coeur et Sol, French for heart and soil, is an urban farming concept with the mission to grow produce commercially in East Orange, New Jersey. We have a strong desire to help beautify the community and promote small business development. In addition, we hope to connect our desire to educate those around us about how food could and should be grown in small scale settings using sustainable and organic practices. We will apply market gardening principles to grow fresh produce on borrowed land in the city.
