The Crnic Institute was founded in 2008 and is one of the only academic centers whose mission is fully devoted to Down syndrome research. We use state-of-the-art, transformational research platforms to decipher the unique biology and disease spectrum of people with Down syndrome. Our work spans the entire translational pipeline, from basic science to clinical research, clinical trials, and the advancement of medical care.Our ultimate goal is to enable precision medicine approaches to improve health outcomes in Down syndrome, including the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic tools.
