The Holden Center strives to help students to effect positive change in the world. Our mission is to prepare students to make a difference in the world by enhancing their education for effective leadership, responsible citizenship and social innovation. We utilize things like: experiential learning, team-based learning, peer education, community service-learning, mentoring and advising, and reflective practice to help augment the university classroom. And, we define a leader as: not necessarily someone who holds a formal position… but rather, someone who is able to collaborate with others to enact positive change for others.
