Established in 1973, Berliner Specialty Distributors (BSD) pioneered the introduction of gourmet ice creams, specialty and natural frozen foods throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Today, BSD is proud to be recognized as the distributor of the year and one of the largest distributors of Good Humor, Popsicle, Ben & Jerry's, Klondike and Breyer's novelties as well as Dove Bars, Snickers and Well's Blue Bunny ice cream.The company is situated on four acres in Hyattsville, Maryland, just minutes from Washington DC, Baltimore and Northern Virginia. BSD occupies approximately 40,000 square feet of warehouse space, including 15,000 square feet devoted entirely to freezer space. In addition, the company operates its own fleet of delivery trucks and the facility can accommodate parking for up to 175 wholesale and mobile ice cream trucks.Recently joining Berliner as partners are David Gordon and Craig Kushnner owners of Monumental Vending located in Beltsville, Maryland. Monumental vending was established 1991 is one of the countries preeminent vending service providers.
