Operation Flinders Foundation provide young people who have been identified as being at risk, with demanding outdoor challenges and support, to help them develop their personal attitudes and values of self esteem, motivation, team work and responsibility so they may grow as valued members of the community.Located over 700km north of Adelaide, Yankaninna Station is the home of the Foundations Exercises. The 8 day activity sees young people travel across the property by foot, totalling up to 100km. During the 8 days, the young people develop knowledge in bush cooking, leadership, indigenous culture and the outdoors. Since 1991, Operation Flinders has seen over 8,500 young people complete the program.
