Our activities are placed within the broader framework of the liberalization of Africa Continent rail transport inline with Trans Africa Railway Corporation (TARC) .The Rail transport Sector in Africa can accelerate and intensify trade in Africa as a result of its energy efficiency, reduced greenhouse gas emissions and lower cost per ton kilometre, is expected to play an increasingly important role in the conveyance of freight over long distances. Trans Africa Railway Corporation (TARC) has positioned itself to use its vast network to supporting economic development in Africa to enable it realise its full potential in exploiting its abundant natural resources and wealth. These series of important reform processes which, passing through the liberalization of the individual national railway markets, aim at the creation of a single large railway market on an African continent scale, as free as possible from regional regulations and particularities and above all interoperable between the various member states.One of the cornerstones of market liberalization is the assessment of compliance with the TSI (Technical Specifications of Interoperability) and the safety requirements applicable to the various subsystems that make up the railway system conducted by an independent third party, qualified by the Member States in based on criteria defined in the sector directives.
