A sixth generation, family owned and operated business, Lessing's has been dedicated to quality and excellence in food service since 1890.Founder Maxwell Lessing built the Lessing's brand with his vision of providing services to coffee shops in lower Manhattan. By 1917, the company grew into a downtown operation comprised of a bakeshop, commissary and additional service outlets located near Manhattan's Financial District.
