The Pocket Testament League is a 122 year old Christian outreach ministry that promotes Scripture reading and personal evangelism. Its mission is to mobilize and equip Christians to read, carry and share the Word of God. Inspired by the vision of a teenage girl in 1893, who encouraged her friends to sew a pocket in their dresses in order to carry and share the Gospel, today over 370,000 members from many Christian denominations have agreed to "Read Carry Share®" the Word of God. Members have given away more than 110 million Gospel of John pocket-sized booklets in simple one-to-one encounters. The League currently reaches the world in many languages: English, Chinese, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Spanish, German, Russian, Vietnamese, Cambodian and French. The Pocket Testament League is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
