This unit of the company specializes in blow and injection moulding. The products include :-PET stretch-blow moulded bottles and jars, blow moulded jars and containers (HDPE/PVC/PET), tubs, buckets and injection moulded containers (LDPE/HDPE/PP), disposable cups (HIPS), disposable food containers and drinking straws. The company undertook a major expansion project in 1996. The project was partially funded by APDF/World Bank and CDC. Since then the company has done considerable amount of research & development in this field and has substantially increased the production capacities for the following product lines: • PET Bottles (catering to 70% of the country's mineral water bottling market) • Thermoforming line (for margarine containers) • Screen Printing, Offset Printing and Pad PrintingThe expansion has consolidated the Group's position as the market leader in the manufacturing and marketing of plastics in Ghana and helped it acquire a prominent position in the West African Sub-region. The company has established a wide network of dealers across the country. The major customers of the company include Voltic Water Company, Lever Brothers (a Division of Unilever) British Tobacco (BAT), Patterson Zochonis and Carsons international.
