The Fort Worth Employees' Retirement Fund was created by an ordinance approved and adopted by City Council September 12, 1945. Original membership of the fund was 1,209. Today, membership has grown to more than 10,000.The Retirement Fund Board of Trustees was originally composed of nine members. Today, 13 members make up the Retirement Fund Board and a 19-member staff manages the daily operations and Administration of the Fund. Regular board meetings are held monthly in the Retirement Fund Board Room.
