The United Youth Development Organization (UYDO) is a grass roots, non-profit organisation driven by members from more than 35 countries. UYDO aims to be a platform for young people (aged 15-29) to use their skills and talents to help other young people living in poverty in developing nations. UYDO does this primarily by fundraising and lending to young entrepreneurs in sub-Saharan Africa who want to start their own businesses and lift themselves out of poverty. UYDO also encourages members to volunteer, raise awareness and contribute to improving the opportunities available to young entrepreneurs through research and field work.
