The Way Back Inn, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization established in 1974 with the purpose to rebuild lives damaged by substance and gambling use disorders in a personalized healing environment. The Way Back Inn is committed to serving men and women in the greater Chicago land area, including those with limited access to treatment. We provide clinical services to men and women recovering from substance abuse as well as those dually diagnosed. We offer physical, mental and spiritual support in a structured home environment. The goal of the Way Back Inn is to help motivated clients develop the skills necessary to achieve continued sobriety. The goal of the residential extended care program is to help clients achieve a healthy lifestyle without the use of illicit drugs or alcohol. Our clients are required to search and obtain full time employment, follow a daily schedule, and engage in activities that develop daily living skills. Clients learn time management, budgeting and participate in a savings plan. The primary emphasis of day-to-day activities is based on a rapid return to everyday living as a responsible family member, contributing community member and self sufficiency.The Way Back Inn has historically provided a high level clinical treatment program specializing in addressing the needs of men and women suffering from both chemical and gambling dependence. We are committed to treating each client with dignity and respect and work on developing individualized treatment plans.
