Founded by Community Action Agency in 1991, the Center for Healthy Beginnings was a prenatal clinic. Today, it has morphed into the Center for Family Health, providing primary health-care services, including prenatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, behavioral health and dental care. The Center is one of 1,400 community health centers across the nation; they account for 8,000 sites and serve more than 25 million patients. The Center for Family Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in downtown Jackson, Michigan.
