Shasta Forests Timberlands, LLC owns 139,000 acres of forestland in Northeastern California. Forestland stewardship has been part of our heritage for six generations of family ownership. Our overall objective is to provide for a sustainable wood supply while maintaining healthy forest ecosystems. Well managed, vigorous forests are capable of maintaining soil productivity and providing clean water, wildlife habitat, forage, and recreational opportunities. Providing a sustainable forest products supply and the amenities of a diverse native forest environment also supports local employment and long term regional economic vitality.Specifically, we practice sustainable forestry primarily through uneven aged management using single tree selection silvicultural methods. Our lands are second growth ponderosa pine and mixed conifer forests comprised of ponderosa pine, sugar pine, white fir, Douglas fir, and incense cedar and in some areas Jeffery pine, red fir and lodgepole pine. Our practices are documented in a Sustained Yield Plan (SYP) and are third party certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
