More than 21 million people in the U.S. live with depression or bipolar, and these conditions account for 90% of the nation's suicides. DBSA's peer-based, wellness-oriented approach brings resources and support to more than 4 million people every year. More than 500 local support groups and 160 chapters enable us to reach people and families where they live -- and for those who don't have a DBSA chapter nearby, we offer virtual support groups that people can access from anywhere in the country.
