The Boyertown Community Ambulance Service is an Advanced Life Support (ALS) emergency medical service that was chartered by the Boyertown Lions Club in 1941. Boyertown Ambulance, designated as Company 525, operates out of one station which houses three ambulances. We provide primary emergency medical coverage for Boyertown Borough, Colebrookdale Township, and a large portion of both Earl and Douglass Townships. In addition, we provide immediate mutual aid to Gilbertsville Ambulance, Bally Ambulance, Oley Ambulance, and Southern Berks EMS in the Boroughs of Bally and Bechtelsville, and portions of Pike, District, Washington, Douglass (Montgomery), Oley, and Amity Townships.Boyertown Ambulance is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We also provide extra crews when needed for special events in the community. We have a strong team atmosphere amongst our EMS family. We regularly provide EMS education on site and also have an active mentorship/precepting program through our partnerships with multiple hospitals and educational institutions. Additionally, we host a Venture Crew Post for 14 to 21 year olds, enabling them to learn about and become certified in the EMS field. The Venture Crew Post (also known as Explorer Post) is a joint organization that operates within the Boy Scouts of America. Our commitment to the community goes beyond the exceptional patient care we provide. We also promote health and safety education to the public with: CPR and First Aid training; A community AED program; Carseat checks; Opiod/Overdose education; Stroke and heart attack awareness; Blood pressure screenings and a free medical equipment loaner program. Boyertown Lions Community Ambulance Service is recognized by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as having achieved the Expert Level in the Pediatric Recognition program.
