Formidable Joy fundraises and provides access to clean water in Malawi, Africa. We work with local organizations to identify schools and villages in need. Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world, where many communities rely on dirty water sources - from rivers and streams to hand-dug holes. We drill boreholes (water wells) that provide communities with clean water - many for the very first time. The cost of drilling a borehole is only $5000 and can impact as many as 1,000 people! We also rehabilitate old, broken boreholes that were installed by other NGOs and/or the government.
