Founded in 1992, the Center for Development and Learning (CDL) is a grassroots, Louisiana- based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. CDL specializes in the development and dissemination of leading-edge research, knowledge, and best practices that improve teaching and increase learning. CDL is focused on providing a positive, supportive learning environment and highly effective educators - teachers, principals, school administrators and parents - for all of our children. Together with local educators, community and civic leaders, national experts and other nonprofits and educational institutions, CDL is increasing student success through improved teaching. CDL's mission is to improve the life chances of all children, especially those at high risk, by increasing school success.
