The Food Ark Organization is a student led-and-run 501c3 nonprofit that aims to innovatively fight food insecurity.We do this by engaging in the community through partnerships and projects, and chartering The Food Ark clubs at schools where we create and operate organic vegetable gardens and food pantries. We bring the outside community to students and vice versa through events like our annual $1.5k Innovation Grant Competition, our annual semi-formal fundraiser, and community gardens. To date, we have more than 10 chaptered high schools and middle schools across the nation, more than 400 student members, published a book, entered and medaled at large pitch competitions, been passionate speakers at conferences around the state and nation, have been recognized by the Obama administration and other government entities for our service, and raised more than $25k in cumulative funds.We utilize our diverse interests and talents to make this world a better place.Grow.
