Femme Capital Partners is more than a residential and commercial lender. We are a community built to lead woman, minorities and business owners to opportunities to build and advance financial freedom and independence. The past 200 years, women's voice and role in society has evolved quite substantially when it comes to making financial decisions regarding housing and business ownership. As first-time homebuyers, women face patterns of discrimination. According to the National Association of Realtors' 2019 housing trend report, single women make up 18% of home buyers, while men make up only 8%, however single women are paying 2% more for a purchase transaction and lose 2% of their investments when they sell a property.According to the Urban Institute, women default less at paying their mortgages than their male counterparts but are denied loans far greater than men. The family dynamic of a woman should not be a reason for denial. Another source of this disparity is financial literacy, resources and advocacy.Furthermore, more than 1 billion women still do not use or have access to the financial system, according to the World Bank Group's latest Global Findex report. IFC has estimated that worldwide, a $300 billion dollar gap in financing exists for formal, women-owned small businesses, and more than 70 percent of women-owned small and medium enterprises have inadequate or no access to financial services. Femme Capital Partners is a company by women, for women, that understands the challenges that women and minorities face with discrimination for their gender, marital status, familial status and ethnicity. When a woman has access to tailor made financial literacy, resources and advocacy, she is able to have more control and influence over what happens in her life–which is the definition of power and independence.Although our strategic focus is on women and minorities, the Company will continue to serve all clients equally.
