Cork sailor Eddie English started the school in 1974 to provide safe, enjoyable tuition afloat and ashore.SailCork offers training courses for adults and juniors in Sailing, Powerboating and Navigation as well as Commercial training and social events for Industry in Cork Harbour. SailCork can also offer tourists from Ireland and abroad a full days fun afloat in the sheltered, safe and picturesque East Ferry Marina.Since early 2020 SailCork has run many courses online - these include navigation courses for beginners, improvers and advanced. The SailCork "Explore and Discover" online series has been a huge success drawing participants from all over Ireland and abroad. These enjoyable and informative sessions explore various coastlines to help with pilotage and passage planning. Presenter Eddie English shares his knowledge of each area in a light hearted informative way telling stories of the past and the present.
