Recast is a subscription-free, live and on-demand streaming platform which gives Fans easy and affordable access to the sports and entertainment they love and pays Publishers for every single view, with up to 85% of all income generated going to them directly. Recast's unique micropayment model prices content from just 1p per minute, using an in-app credit system, 'Cast Credits'. Casts can either be purchased or earned by watching ads, sharing videos or data, or by inviting friends to join. Casts are used to watch live and on-demand content, with the cost in Casts shown up front. For Fans, Recast is free to join, easy to use, accessible from any device and affordable. Fans can watch what they want, where they want and when they want – either by earning in-platform or purchasing Casts, in the knowledge the majority of revenue generated goes directly to the Publisher. For Publishers, Recast is free-to-use and packed with features and functions, providing complete control of content and earnings. From easy access to data, including video earnings and performance, to the ability to create a market-appropriate price to watch and geo-restrict content availability - all controlled via Recast Publish, our publishing management system. Launched onto the market in 2021 and currently in beta, Recast is headquartered in Edinburgh with a staff of over 50, and has raised £15m investment to date. Currently available in 88 countries, it has over 150 channels ranging from British Fencing to Manchester City FC and World Curling, with a steady stream of new channels coming onboard.
