Tom Abel is a Minnesota Pottery Artist who creates Stoneware Pottery, stoneware teapots, unique vases, cups, bowls, spoon rests, plates and serving platters. All of Tom's ceramic art is high fired to cone 10, many are wood fired. Tom uses glaze in an intuitive, unique, earthy way to try and keep his pottery as natural looking as possible while making sure it is functional as well. Tom Abel's unique stoneware pottery can be found at several Art Galleries and pottery studios in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul Minnesota including The Grand Hand (St Paul, MN), The Artist Mercantile (St Paul, MN), Fire on the Greenway (Minneapolis, MN), and The Kulak Art Company (Woodbury, MN). Tom primarily works out of his studio at 2402 University Ave. in St Paul, MN he also has worked at the Northern Clay Center, Fired Up studios and from of his home in Woodbury MN.
