The Classic Learning Test (CLT), an alternative to the SAT and ACT, is a norm-referenced assessment that allows a student to display their academic abilities through logic, grammar, and quantitative reasoning. Since the CLT is not criterion based, like the other tests, it allows educators freedom to determine curriculum as well as to value each student's unique ability. The CLT suite of assessments include the CLT for seniors and juniors, the CLT10 for sophomores and freshman, and the CLT8 for middle-school students. Students take our online assessments within 2-hours at a CLT-partnered school or on a scheduled Saturday, receiving same-day test scores that can be shared with colleges through the student portal.
