MIMAQ stands for "Mobile Individual Measurements of Air Quality", an innovative project where mobile sensors are used to measure and calculate the impact of air pollution on the individual level.Data is collected and visualized in real time, using Augmented Reality, maps and graphs to present the exposure of real people to air pollutants during their outdoors activities (commuting, training, work outdoors or just taking a walk in the park). Our goal is to get a better understanding of factors which influence our exposure to air pollution. Next we provide tools to measure impact at the individual level, creating awareness and giving the opportunity to optimize behavior for minimal exposure to air pollutants. As of January 2011 the foundation has become part of TAB Worldmedia and will continue to organize events and develop new technology for mobile sensor based monitoring and presentation.
