Lutz Real Estate Investments ("LREI") is a fully integrated real estate organization with a history that spans for more than fifty years. In 2012, LREI turned its attention to the education sector with their first student housing portfolio purchase, and created an investment platform targeting infill student housing communities located near major universities. LREI set an acquisition goal of acquiring 1,000 beds per year, over the next five years. LREI targets somewhat older properties that are within walking distance to campus, at universities with at least 10,000 students and a favorable number of university controlled beds.
