ABOUT LPGA*USGA Girls Golf of PhoenixThe LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Phoenix program is a developmental junior golf program designed for girls ages 3-18. It was formed specifically to create a network for girls to learn to play golf, build friendships & compete in a non-threatening environment.The local program meets year-round with about 30+ events throughout the year. The tournament formats include scramble, best-ball, team outings, parent/daughter & evening glow ball events. The variety of formats allow the emphasis to be placed on having fun and encourage family involvement.Our Goals◦ Keeping girls ENGAGED in sports◦ Instilling CONFIDENCE and inspiring girls to live ACTIVE lifestyles◦ Providing social opportunities and FRIENDSHIPS◦ Increasing RETENTION of girls in the game of golf◦ Encouraging FAMILY involvement
