Boston Green Academy is a diverse, innovative and successful Horace Mann 'in-district' charter school within the Boston Public Schools. Enrolling over 500 students from across Boston in grades 6-12, BGA successfully turned around a struggling district high school and has built a strong, innovative program focused on the needs and talents of our diverse students and preparing them to be the next generation of leaders in sustainability. BGA features school-wide green programs, a fully certified Career and Technical Education program in Environmental Science, and is proud to be the recipient of the 2019 Massachusetts and United States Green Ribbon Schools Award recognizing excellence as a model green and sustainable school. With enrollment by lottery and outcomes that exceed district averages, Boston Green Academy is now one of the most successful non-selective schools in the Boston Public Schools.
