For almost thirty years, Inclusion WA has worked alongside individuals, community groups and government organisations to facilitate social inclusion. Inclusion is acceptance of all people regardless of their differences. It is about appreciating people for who they are. Inclusion allows people to value differences in each other by recognising that each person has an important contribution to make to society. Giving people the opportunity to find a valued role in the community and offering people choice, flexibility and control over their lives has remained our focus over these twenty years. We achieve this by offering a unique, person centred approach to individuals, their families (and support networks) and by encouraging social inclusion in the wider community. We also assist clubs, associations and community groups to welcome all participants.Inclusion WA's vision is to see that all people, of diverse abilities, have the opportunity to participate in welcoming communities and that communities value the role that people of all abilities and backgrounds play.We want everyone to feel welcome, have choice and control, share ordinary places and feel a sense of belonging in their community.
