The Missouri State Fair has been the showcase for Missouri agriculture since the first Fair in 1901. Along with award-winning livestock in the historic barns and show rings, the Fair also boasts an outstanding line-up of entertainment from big-name concerts on the Grandstand stage to professional acts strolling the grounds. The annual Fair offers a thrilling carnival midway, shopping and vendors, demonstrations and education and of course, everyone's favorite, Fair food, all across the historic 396-acre grounds. The Fair is centrally located in Sedalia, with approximately 360,000 individuals visiting the 11-day August event each year.In addition to the annual Fair, the historic fairgrounds also conducts an impression year-round business with a variety of events with local, regional, national and international appeal: auctions, livestock shows of all breeds, sporting events, camping and motorcycle rallies, trade shows, conventions, receptions and even motor sporting events on our half-mile dirt track.
