Hand to Hold® is a national nonprofit 501(c)(3) that provides personalized emotional support, educational resources and community before, during and after a NICU stay. We are boldly removing barriers for accessing support by growing a hybrid model of in-person and virtual support in service to our vision. We envision a 🌎 where every NICU family has a trusted Hand to Hold through their NICU journey and beyond. When babies need the specialized medical attention of a NICU, it is emotionally traumatic to the parent and disruptive to traditional parent-baby bonding. NICU parents are more likely to experience postpartum depression, anxiety disorders and PTSD. Support is provided to parents at no cost to families and all support is designed with the emotional, physical and social needs of the NICU parent. Our caring professional staff team is comprised of NICU graduate and bereaved parents.Support programs include:-1:1 with Certified Mental Health Peer Specialists (in contracted hospitals & virtually available for all) who have had a NICU experience of their own-1:1 counseling sessions with a Licensed professional-Virtual Support Groups led by a Certified Mental Health Peer Specialists who have had a NICU experience of their own. Groups include: Current NICU parents, Graduate NICU parents, Bereaved parents, Spanish speaking, Black parents, High risk pregnancies, Dads, Medically complex conditions and more.-Hand to Hold Mobile App for convenience, compassion and connection to our support services and virtual community in the palm of your hand.- Educational resources include: 5 podcasts, our annual conference for parents & professionals, webinars, and more-Peer Mentor ProgramHand to Hold Store: -Milestone bead necklaces and more
