Syracuse University Libraries are active partners in the teaching, learning, student experience, and research mission of the University. Serving over 1.2 million in-person and 1.3 million website visitors annually, the Libraries offer extensive print and online collections in a wide range of formats, knowledgeable librarians and staff, and up-to-date technology in support of all SU academic programs. The Libraries' diverse collections consist of more than 4.6 million items, including online and print journals, as well as extensive maps, images, sound and video recordings, music scores, microforms, rare books and manuscripts, and over 500 research databases.SU Libraries include:– Bird Library, home to the Learning Commons and Pages Café, houses humanities and social science materials, library administrative offices, the Special Collections Research Center, the Belfer Audio Archive, and University Archives. Bird Library provides a variety of study spaces and resources, including group and individual study rooms, technology equipment loans, classroom and meeting spaces, technology-equipped study rooms, and designated quiet study spaces.– Carnegie Library on the Shaw Quadrangle features a quiet reading room and computer cluster, and houses materials in science disciplines, technology, mathematics, and technical arts.– King + King Architecture Library, located in the School of Architecture in Slocum Hall, contains a materials library.– SU Libraries Facility, a high-density storage center on South Campus, provides delivery services of materials.– Syracuse University Press, located on South Campus, is an award-winning academic publisher.– The Blackstone LaunchPad powered by Techstars, an experiential entrepreneurship program open to students, faculty, staff, and alumni.Other separately administered campus libraries include the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library (African-American Studies Department), and the Law Library (College of Law).
