The Korea Scout Association (KSA) was founded in 1922 and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1953. Since 1922, the organization has grown from strength to strength and is now the biggest, best and most active youth organization in the Republic of Korea.The KSA is made up of 21 Scout Councils, covering every region of South Korea and also including the Won Buddhism, Catholic, and Buddhism Scout Councils. Currently there are over 280,000 Scouts in Korea.
