At-Home Academy, also known as AHA, is chain of bilingual Christian schools located in three cities across China. We aim to promote a high standard of education from kindergarten to senior high school. AHA is a pioneer for Christian education in China, having established multiple schools across the country. The motto of our school is "Imparting Truth with Love," firmly believe in education with a Christian purpose. An old Chinese saying says, "One tree does not make a forest." Education cannot be separated from everyday life and our culture, therefore our vision is not just to set up schools, but to establish a Christ-like education system:1) Not focusing on self-success, but pursuing the meaning of eternal life2) Not result-orientated and held hostage to achievement, but focusing on continual correction and following heart of Christ.3) Not mutual competition and envy, but mutual inspiration and improvement.4) Not abdicating responsibility, but supporting one another.5) Not passively being taught, but actively engaging in discovery.6) Not to see study as one stage of life, but to see it as a continual lifelong process.7) Not to have experts who know all the answers, but teachers and students learning and growing together.We believe the below characteristics make us a unique and dynamic organization.1) Diligent – Self-discipline leads to true freedom.2) Caring – We care for spiritual growth of children and so we do not simply focus on academic achievement but on the whole person. Therefore working together with parents is essential.3) Far sighted – We recognize we are building the foundation for children's lives, not focusing always on the immediate, but looking to the future.4) Not Superficial – We believe the beauty of education is not in the result, but in the process.5) Persevering – Life throws up many challenges, however we teach our children together with parents to face these head on and experience the difficulties of real life without giving up.6) Independent – We are not beholden to special interests but we work together with teachers and parents who have the same vision.
