At School Fitness Ireland we endeavor to provide high quality, effective and enjoyable fitness classes to each school we work with. Our programmes are designed to be inclusive of all fitness levels, and to provide a safe and fun environment where children engage actively and consciously in the development of their fitness levels. The children will learn why we exercise, the different types of exercise we can do, and will be encouraged to learn at their own pace. We provide non-competitive classes so as to ensure no child is discouraged by a lack of ability or confidence.The business was launched by Martin Sheehan in January 2017. Martin is a qualified sports and fitness coach, who has coached national and international sports teams throughout the last 12 years. He spent 4 years working as a sports tutor for various youth work organisations, followed by 4 years working as a project coordinator for Foroige across 2 different projects. It was during this time that he identified the key need for improving and encouraging youth fitness. Exercise is proven to improve childrens attention and productvity levels, which in turn leads to improved learning.
