Leonard Elementary has been commended three times in the past two school years by the Michigan Department of Education as a "Beating the Odds!" School of Excellence. In 2011, Leonard Elementary was one of only 20 schools in the entire state to receive this recognition! In 2012, Ovid-Elsie High School was recognized as a "Reward School" by the Michigan Department of Education for our increase in student achievement.Ovid-Elsie Area Schools provides a high quality education based on our mission and strategic plan goals of unprecedented personal growth for every student, and it allows opportunities for them to grow outside the classroom through a large variety of extracurricular activities.
