Shabakat Al Ordon is a not-for-profit private association (according to the Jordanian Associations law 2009) launched by HMK Abdullah II in 2002. Shabakat implements its flag ship program ( change through digital inclusion) under the supervision of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology in more that 200 authorized locations across Jordan where we target the youth to provide them with the skills, knowledge, and attitude they need to be able to use technology to better their lives. In return, these youth reach out to members of their community to teach them on how to basic computer skills and how to effectively use the internet and technology applications to impact their life. Since 2007, Shabakat has trained more than 12,000 community members across more than 230 authorized locations in Jordan, where they incubated 3,500 life transforming projects within their local communities. Also, Shabakat has mobilized and built the capacity of more than 1,500 of the Jordanian youth as local on the ground man power to train their community members, worked with community members to spark micro entrpernership through Shabakat's micro venturing program, or as members of the virtual workforce team conducted community surveys and information gathering services or internet and digital content creation , or implement community and digital outreach campaigns and initiatives through out the Shabakat network of authorized location across Jordan.
