Doctors At War is a global non-profit organization committed to engaging the healthcare community in the fight against human trafficking. We do this through several strategies and will continue to expand our global influence. Current Projects: 1. Humanitarian Medical Trips to care for survivors and those at high-risk. 2. Educating Doctors, Medical Students, N.P.'s, P.A.'s, nurses, and other regarding the healthcare ramifications of trafficking and how to recognize victims in your emergency room, clinic, or other practice setting. 3. Production of materials that will assist in the communication with a recognition of victims. 4. Developing a list of healthcare providers who are willing to provide free care to survivors and to act as a consultant to task forces, NGO's, and social service providers. 5. Building a financial endowment to help fund care of special needs and specialty care for survivors. 6. Encouraging providers to develop innovative ways to fight trafficking from a healthcare perspective, and then assisting in implementation of worhwhile projects.
