Located just 20 minutes outside of Boston, The Museum of World War II is a sacred mission to show the heroism of people who left peaceful lives to defend their country and to liberate the conquered.With over 7,000 original artifacts and documents, the museum uniquely shows the human story interwoven with the military and political events thru all of the artifacts that made up life, from everyday, to the most momentous decisions during the war.The collection comprises of all the artifacts that made up life during the 1930's and 1940's. It is a glimpse into the information, influences and everyday life in all of the countries that would engage in World War II. It is what they read, what they saw and what they used, from the home fronts to the war fronts, from the tiniest of spy gadgets to an original landing craft, from guns concealed in a cigarette to an all original Sherman tank, From the beauty of many of the Allies' posters, to the horror of the Holocaust, it is all represented in the museum, with a minimum of signage and no political correctness.
