Aurora Basketball Inc. is a youth basketball club in Fort McMurray, Alberta.We are a Basketball Alberta affiliated Club who offer basketball programs and leagues that teach skills and fundamentals to student athletes. Our co-ed Junior Programs provide early-entry athletics training to children ages 3-6. Our recreational House League is for youth in Grades 2-9. A new addition to Aurora Basketball youth programming in 2017 is the launch of Aurora Elite. We are currently building U11-U15 Boys and U11-U13 Girls Elite teams to compete in Club tournaments for the Spring/Summer 2018 season. We offer Referee Training to students in Grade 9-12 and adults. These referees are given the opportunity to officiate children ages 7 to 14 in House League games. We also run the Adult Men's & Women's Leagues in Fort McMurray. We recognize the need for opportunities for children and youth in this community to play organized basketball and receive quality coaching. We are excited to be offering programs and camps to children and youth ages 3 to 14 in Fort McMurray and the surrounding area.OUR MISSIONTo foster a premier basketball community in Northern Alberta while promoting a fun and competitive environment that develops hard-working athletes for sport and for life.
