Subsequently the then closed corporation was converted into a company resulting in the name being changed to Ruwacon in 2003. In May 2010, Ruwacon successfully reformed its shareholding to become one of the few 9GBPE construction firms in South Africa that is 51% black owned. Today the company has an annual turnover in excess of R 700 million, employs a workforce of approximately 1000 workers and is engaged on more than 40 active sites across Southern Africa.
