Big Red THON is Cornell's student-led annual dance marathon that fundraises for Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Cornell started Big Red THON in 2015 as an initiative to be the first Ivy League institution to engage the campus in raising awareness of pediatric care in our community. Students from all backgrounds and academic fields participate in our fundraising campaign throughout the academic year to support children and their families as they undergo the challenges of medical treatment. Our "big event" also includes sharing Miracle Family's stories and various student organization performances. This singular event is only the culmination of an entire year's worth of work planning and fundraising headed by our Executive and General Body Teams.
