BioRep is a Sapio Group Company established in Milan in 2003. It was the first Biological Resource Center able to provide public and private research institutions, biotech and pharmaceutical companies with third party services for biological material preservation, guaranteeing the highest levels of quality and safety.In its tenth year of life and in an effort to increase its storage capacity BioRep has expanded its structure moving into the Department of Biotechnology (DIBIT2) of San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, one of the largest Science Parks in Europe.In addition to the main headquarter, the new facility hosts backup sites to meet customer needs even in emergency situations.BioRep was in fact the first private Italian company to receive the Minister of Health authorization to operate during Disaster Recovery Plan and for Emergency Management Plan frameworks.BioRep has thus strengthened its position as a reference point for public, private, national and international research centers.These services provide a fundamental support to all researches for genetic, neurodegenerative, tumour and rare diseases studies.BioRep is ISO 9001:2015 certified and has AIFA authorization for GMP cryopreservation. It has been realized thanks to advanced technologies that ensure the maximum safety of the processed and cryopreserved biological material. From 2017 BioRep is actively involved in its own Genetics Tests development dedicated to different areas:Reproductive Medicine, specialized in non-invasive prenatal tests (NIPT);Oncology, specialized in screening genetic mutations;Microbiology, specialized Microbiome/Microbiota (Fecal, Cutaneous, Vaginal, Oral and Custom according to the client's indications) analysis;Diabetology, specialized in type 1 and 2 diabetes predisposition and related complications.
