The Okala Foundation is a Canadian based grassroots registered charity founded in 2006. Okala is dedicated to improving the quality of life for the children in the villages of Cameroon. Okala is staffed by a dedicated group of board members who volunteer their time and have a strong passion for helping others. The main focus of Okala's work is the health and education of the village children and the urgent medical needs of the villagers. Through continued sponsorship with the Okala Foundation, the children receive a hot lunch every school day, all necessary school supplies needed for the year, plus a mosquito net to help reduce the spread of diseases like malaria and dengue fever. Okala has numerous on-going projects aside from the main sponsorship program, which allow us to expand our scope of assistance to the villages and provide much needed services and education to those who would otherwise have no means of obtaining them.
