The Shire of Irwin is the Local Government authority that maintains services to the twin towns of Dongara and Port Denison, and the surrounding rural areas (2,223km2 - total area). Known historically for its lobster fishing industry and broad acre farming the area has developed into a friendly coastal lifestyle community with a range of sporting facilities including our modern Recreation Centre, a hospital, doctor, high school, excellent services and businesses and a multitude of proactive community organisations.All in all the Shire is an enviable place to live, work and play.
