AILAE is equally interested in the role that European culture plays in the world especially in its relationship with the Australia Pacific regions. Exchange in this case is to be read primarily in the sense of facilitating a reciprocity dimension between the two regions.The AILAE is an itinerant, nomadic concept in that it aims at building cultural events that see Australian and European arts and languages in contact, facilitating such exchange without a centralized base.
