Darcy Cardarelli is currently developing Be The Difference Today, a web site which will match up peoples' needs with those willing to help donate their time or their resources. Organizations list their needs and the website will allow potential donors to easily see how they can help to make a difference. The site will have needs ranging from driving people to medical appointments, helping the disabled with home improvement projects, funding for capital campaigns and everything in between. Darcy is expected to launch the website bethedifferencetoday.org in the first few months of 2010.Cardarelli has written her first book, According To Angels which is a story about helping children learn to make the best choices. Two angels, JilllyB and Joey along with their angel puppy, Boomer, come down from heaven to see that some children, playing a game of kickball, are purposely not including one little boy. JillyB and Joey help the children learn that they need to respect everyone's abilities, understand that all can make mistakes and are not perfect. The children then realize that they need to be kind to one another, and include everyone in the game. According to Angels is based on the stories that Darcy told her young daughter every night helping to deal with the many issues facing children. According to Angels ~ The Story of JillyB the Angel was illustrated by Leslie McGrath, an accomplished childrens' illustrator.Darcy Cardarelli is currently working as a Development Consultant helping organizations with their developmental needs, strategic planning and establishment of programs.Darcy Cardarelli has served on various boards including Penacook Place, a Not For Profit rehabilitation and nursing home facility, The Haverhill Historical Society, Sacred Hearts Parish Council, and the City of Haverhill Planning Board.Darcy Cardarelli has also worked as a volunteer in various fund raising capacities for schools, chairing events and working on annual campaigns.
