Davren™ is a package of technologies that exploit the fascinating properties of synthetic amorphous silica (SAS). Our company has demonstrated in the laboratory and early field trials (across a range of insects and grain commodities) that certain non-toxic, food-grade SAS products have significant potential as grain protectants. With our commercial partners, Davren intends to use its technology and world-class know-how around the characterisation of SAS materials and their application to grains, to bring new grain protectants products to market. These products will align with consumers' expectation that their foods have been produced without toxic chemicals and in ways that are environmentally friendly. Simultaneously, Davren's technology is addressing the agricultural industry's need for new grain protectants that do not induce resistance in the insects being controlled.
